description
The Banham family is photographed by James Stirling in the empty reading room of the newly completed Cambridge History Faculty Library (1967), for which James Stirling was the architect. Beyond a love of picnics in both greenfield and domesticated lands, which Banham describes for the United States in the article “A Home is Not A House” (1965), the family would use it as a Christmas card.
